We are happy to announce you to the 16th International Skeletal Dysplasia Society (ISDS) meeting in Madrid (Spain), 18-21st September, organized by a local Iberian committee (Spain & Portugal).

The scientific program of ISDS meetings includes presentations and posters from selected abstracts covering the advances in the clinical, radiological, genetic, biochemical, and molecular characterization of skeletal dysplasias, as well as advances in medical, orthopedic, surgical, and psychological care and treatment of patients. More specifically:

  • Progress in delineation of skeletal dysplasias: genotype-phenotype
  • correlation, expansion of phenotypes and “new” genes and conditions
  • Skeletal dysplasias – focus on their diagnosis: clinical, molecular and radiological
  • Fundamental research advances: Molecular mechanisms and phenotypes including cellular and animal models
  • Large cohort studies - Clinical, radiological and molecular data
  • Prenatal skeletal dysplasias - updating, new genes and new phenotypes
  • Multidisciplinary management in skeletal dysplasias
  • Orthopedic treatment of skeletal dysplasias
  • Impact on quality of life, pain and functionality of skeletal dysplasias
  • Current and future pharmacological approaches in genetic diseases of bone
  • Natural history and clinical trials in skeletal dysplasias
  • Skeletal Dysplasias in Spain and Portugal
